Conductor, songwriter ("In the Blue of Evening"), conductor, arranger and pianist who came to the USA in 1918. He was educated at Strassburger Conservatory and studied with Boris Levenson. He conducted orchestras for network radio, theatres, films, records and concerts, and originated the "pops" concerts at Carnegie Hall. He conducted the Buffalo Philharmonic, Stadium Symphony, Miami Symphony, Symphony of the Air, St. Louis Symphony, and New London Symphony. He also conducted for Radio-Television Itala in Milan and Rome, and composed/arranged/conducted for Television. He was a recipient of the Medaillie d'Or.
